Our Personal Shopper service is for clients based overseas that want a custom service to assist them with locating specific products from the UK.
With this individualised service customers are able to create a their UK based wish/shopping list and we will shop to the budget they are most comfortable with, whether that be physically shopping in UK bricks and mortar stores, or UK based online stores.
Coupled with one of our expert ‘Pack and Ship’ services, we can streamline and secure your purchases from the UK into one box or barrel, cutting down on international shipping costs. Then arrange for your consignment to be collected for shipping overseas by your shipping agent of choice.
Introduction to the UK based Personal Shopping Service
Our UK based Personal Shopping service is here to help individuals get the most out of their UK based shopping experience, without having to spending hours browsing online, or even visiting the country. After a pre-shop consulation to ensure we are all on the same page, email us your UK based store wish, or shopping list. We will physically visit, or place online orders with UK based stores to supply you with enough products to fill a box, barrel, or crate, to the budget you have pre-set.
Think of it as having your very own UK based body-double who will help you navigate through the shopping process, ensuring you get access to the hottest brands and authentic, top quality products with the best deals in the UK – without ever visiting the country.
Once we have fulfulled the first mission of collecting multiple products on your behalf, we will take your purchases back to our secure warehouse for temporary storage. At this stage you will have choosen your Pack & Ship Service, that will take care of getting the purchases consolidated and packed in a barrel, box, or crate, ready for collection by the shipping agent of your choice.
How the UK Based Personal Shopping Service Works
Let’s get started – it doesn’t matter what order you complete the first steps in, but you have to complete them to get your benefits unlocked:
- Sign up for an account / your account will automatically be opened once you get to the basket page
- Add the Personal Shopping Service that meets the needs of your shopping requirements, to your basket
- You will be contacted to discuss your needs and ensure we are on the same page before we source items on your wish/shopping list
- Book the appropriate Pack & Ship service that meets your needs (for consolidation of your packages into a box or barrel and collection by the shipping carrier of your choice)
Once you have completed the first steps:
- Send us a copy of your wish/shopping list from the locally based UK store(s) that you want us to physically visit on your behalf
- If applicable, send us the links to the products listed on online store(s), that offer delivery to the UK
- Agree on the budget you would like to spend on your items, and we will invoice you for that additional amount
- We visit the stores, source the products, purchase them on your behalf and transport them back to our secure warehouse
What is NOT included in the Service?
- The cost of your purchases
- Additional in-house service fees, inc Pack & Ship fees and packaging which must be ordered separately
- Costs associated with unwanted items, including the disposal of, and/or return to senders in order for you to recieve a refund
- Shipping is NOT included; plus, any duties, fees, taxes, or other financial costs involved in storing, inspection, accepting, clearing, releasing, and/or delivery of the barrel in your destination country

Secure your Add-on Packing and International Shipping Service
Before we can get going with packing and shipping your selected items, you will need to choose one of our wide range of Pack & Ship services. As all of your purchases will end up at our secure warehouse, we need to ensure they are booked in with the appropriate service, to be consolidated into a box or barrel, and prepared for collection by your shipping carrier of choice.
Our Add-on ‘Pack & Ship’ Service will additionally include:
- Storage of your purchases at our secure warehouse
- *Consolidation of all your items into the box or barrel you have ordered, and sealing the package
- We will fill in all the paperwork and arrange for the shipping carrier of your choice to collect your consolidated order
- The shipping carrier collects your consignment and it will be shipped to your port of choice in your destination country
- You will be emailed your shipping details to arrange for clearance and/or collection in your destination country
When you opt for our Personal Shopper Service, you benefit from a custom service where we shop for you with the same attention to detail that we use when shopping for ourselves.

Information about our Sea Freight Shipping Service
- Once your items have been packed, your shipment will automatically be flagged for collection by the shipping carrier
- Our Sea Freight Shipments are collected from our warehouse every Saturday / or every other Saturday (dependant on the destination)
- *Cut off for consolidation and packing of your order is the Wednesday prior
- Sea Freight times from the UK to the destination port of entry vary dependant on the country. Please check our Shipping Information for dates of upcoming shipping and arrivals for your country.
*For example, if an order is completed on a Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday the order will be processed and collected on the coming Saturday. However, if an order is completed on a Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday, the order will be processed and collected the following Saturday.
What Can be Shipped Overseas in a Barrel or Box?
Every country has a list of restricted items that cannot be shipped, all other items are sorted by genre, or type, which attract different levels of import taxes, fees and duties.
Many countries have developed systems for sorting certain types of products that fit into a barrel, that attract a standard, or minimum fee. Such as Jamaica, that enables persons to clear a barrel consisting of approximatley, 80% food/grocery items and 20% household, and/or personal goods; for a set customs duty fee of $6,500jmd per barrel.
However, if persons were to fill their barrels with items that attract higher duties, such as fashion, phones and power tools, or goods that were deemed to be for commercial purposes (for reselling), then the standard minimum fee would not be applicable.
In order to pay the least customs duties in your home country, we recommend requesting mainly non-perishable food items, health & beauty products and household goods, with a small amount of items from the fashion or electrical category.
Naturally you are free to order any quantity of goods you desire, including high end and high ticket items. Leave it to us and we will source and purchase your requested items with ease.
What items are Restricted from Entering Overseas Destinations?
When requesting goods to be bought on your behalf, please ensure they are fit and legal for sea freight travel and entry into the destination port.
Therefore please be mindful when requesting certain goods, and refrain from sending packages to our warehouse that don’t meet our shipping restrictions and the size/weight dimensions of the box or barrrel you have selected.
Examples of restricted goods are, for example, those that contain perishable items, such as bread, cakes, fruits, vegetables and any items that must be chilled or frozen.
Additionally, any illegal, restricted and flammable/combustable items, such as cash, counterfeit items, drugs, weapons, ammunition, gas cylinders, car batteries, car tyres, lighters and any indecent or explicit material.
Lastly we cannot purchase, or ship live animals or plant/organic matter (including seeds and cuttings), human or animal remains, and anything that poses a phytosanitary concern.
